“They were great making sure my son was comfortable especially with it being his first time at the dentist! Explaining what they were going to do, how the equipment worked and letting him ask questions as they checked his teeth! And I love that he was given high fives and praised for how good he did! It definitely made his visit less stressful and scary for him!”

“Such a great group of people! Everyone was incredibly kind, comforting to my son, and explained everything in detail so we could make the best decisions for us. They even called me several hours after my son had work done to check on him. I’m very glad we were referred here!”

Pediatric Dentistry FAQ
When should my child have their first dental visit?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first visit by age 1, or within 6 months of the first tooth.
Does it really matter if baby teeth fall out?
Yes! Baby teeth help with eating, speaking, and holding space for adult teeth.
How do I clean my baby’s teeth?
Use a soft, damp cloth or a baby toothbrush with a smear of toothpaste as soon as the first tooth appears.
How often should my child see the dentist?
Every 6 months, unless your dentist recommends otherwise.
How much toothpaste should my child use?
Under 3: a grain of rice-sized smear
Ages 3–6: a pea-sized amount
Why is my child getting cavities even though they brush?
Cavities can be caused by frequent snacking, sugary drinks, poor brushing technique, or genetics.
Are baby bottle cavities real?
Yes. Letting a child sleep with a bottle of milk, juice, or formula can cause early tooth decay.
What age should kids start flossing?
When two teeth touch! Usually around age 2–3.
What if my child is scared of the dentist?
Dentists are trained to help children feel comfortable. We use kid-friendly language and techniques like “tell-show-do.” We also go at your child’s pace and try to understand what strategies help them the best 🙂
Do you offer sedation for nervous kids?
Yes! We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and other options depending on the child’s needs.
Will my child need braces?
We start monitoring jaw and tooth development early and can refer for orthodontic care when the time is right.
What are space maintainers?
They’re small appliances that hold space for adult teeth if a baby tooth is lost early.
